November 13, 2009 | By | 2 Replies More

RAHLPA LOGODue to the problems in administration and the lack of a fully functioning committee, the Radford and Hooe Lake Preservation Association was regrettably dissolved by majority vote at the EGM on the 12th Nov 2009. More details will be published shortly.

This website will aim to continue the good work carried out by RAHLPA and serve as a communal discussion and information point for the membership and others with an interest in Protecting Radford & Hooe Lake wildlife and habitats. We should be able to create a strong group of members that can be easily notified and called upon should the need arise.

Hi. I just saw the article in today’s herald regarding the dissolving of the committee. I did not even know that such a committee existed, otherwise I would have been in touch sooner.

In 2005, a photographer and a local filmmaker visited the boathouse to take photographs of the location in preparation for a scene of a movie (which was never made in the end). The photo’s were taken on 35mm black and white film, and I now own the negatives.

In one of the frames, there appears to be a semi-opaque image of an old lady in one of the archways of the house.

A flikr set of all the negatives is at – http://www.flickr.com/photos/23921876@N08/sets/72157616770306444/

I heard that there is at least one other photograph of a ghost by the lake which appears in a book that a local person produced?

Anyway, I thought this might be of interest to you….
